Jon laid back, still in pain, and said "I wish I wasn't in so much pain."
Suddenly, all the pain was gone! Jon looked down at his body, wondering what must have happened.
"Nurse!" he yelled out.
She came back into the room. "Yes?"
"I can't feel any pain. I ... I think I'm alright."
The nurse sighed. "I thought someone already told you."
"Told me what?"
"You were injured pretty badly. You've been paralyzed. From your neck down."
Jon stared at her. "What are you talking about? I was just moving around a few seconds ago."
"You must have been dreaming, because there's no possible way you could move in your current condition."
Jon tried to sit up again, but nothing happened. He looked down and saw that his arms were sitting completely still.
"I ... I don't understand. This can't be happening!"
"I'm so sorry," the nurse said.
Jon started to cry. "I wish ..."
