Jon found class to be remarkably normal despite everything else going on.
It seemed, no matter what was happening, school was school. He had good and bad teachers. This particular teacher just droned on, with the students barely having anything to say as he talked about the Smoot-Hawley Act. Most of the students seemed checked out, he might as well have been the only human in a room full of drones.
The class seemed to go on forever before the bell rang, and he finally entered the hall, he noticed what looked like Biff's doppelganger walking down the hall. He had longer, darker hair and was wearing classes. Walking past him in the other direction was someone who looked a lot like Melissa Smith, only she was dressed in a white blouse and dark knee length skirt and she wasn't wearing any makeup. A lot of the students walking past seemed muted somehow. He hadn't ever noticed that before...how much people seemed to fade into the background.
He decided he needed to skip class and talk to Karyn. He started looking into classrooms, looking for Karyn. When he finally found her, talking to two other girls, he tried to enter the room to catch her attention...and found himself turning left instead of right, and entering the adjoining classroom. "You're late," the teacher said, gesturing to an empty seat. "But..." he started. This wasn't his class.
"No more interruptions, young man," she said.
