As "nephews" of Uncle Henry, Crimson and Scarlet did not need to do much. As long as they tidied after themselves and Henry while he was away working, they were all fine. Henry Dustin was the brother of Noah's mother. Her relationship was marked by incredible loyalty. Susan and Henry both had a younger brother named Miles. Her maiden name was Dustin as well. When she married Noah's father, her last name changed to Kidman. She still kept it as a middle name. Noah's father, an only child, did not truly appreciate all the butting in from his brothers-in-law. He simply could not understand a close sibling bond. Miles visited at times, but he was busy with his own responsibilities. Susan was also not as close to Miles as she was to Henry. Henry was the eldest child, but only by 2 years. Sun was next and Miles had been a surprise addition to the family when she was 8 and Henry had just turned 11. Miles was the baby of the family. Maybe it was because of this that he strove to be mature. Miles went to college, found a nice woman, got married and had a kid all by 25. Two at 28.
Being that Susan was 36 with a son and Henry was 39 with no children, their parents were looking at them to step it up. They wanted grandchildren. As far as their father was concerned, Noah did not count. He was not a Dustin like a child from his 2 sons would be. Miles had a son and a daughter. That was good. Still, they were looking at their eldest child for at least one. Henry was not interested in women like that. He was not a gay man either. Henry was married to the grind. He was a middle manager at his office. He was in a telecommunications company. They sold people phones and pagers. Henry was in the sales department in particular. If he could land a promotion, he would be set. Even a raise would be fine. The apartment that he was renting was really great. It was a three bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment. One bedroom had been converted into an office. The third bedroom was for guests to stay in. Noah in particular was a frequent guest over the weekends when he was younger. Henry was the one to get him into karate. Noah was escorted to and from lessons by his uncles.
Calling in sick for the first time in years, Henry took that Wednesday off from work to take stock of the situation. At the very start of the day, he looked the pair over. They looked at him. "Alright. I need you guys to come with me today. We are going to go to Chinatown." Henry said. The boys shared at look of confusion before turning back to their uncle. "I want to treat you 2 fairly. I already gave you the shittiest names on the planet, so this is the least I can do." he said. He did give them the names flippantly at the house. Noah held Henry in very high regard. The clones shared all of his memories, so they did too. Henry continued his explanation. "!f you guys are going to be independent people, I want you to be seen that way. That means you can't look identical to Noah and the other clones." he said. He was thinking for their best interest. It showed he cared about them just as much as he did for his nephew. "Why are we going to Chinatown?" Crimson asked. He did not see the point. Scarlet added "Isn't there stores near here!?" Henry smirked. He had a plan. Henry was known for fun.
