On his way to Karyn's house, he spotted Sarah walking her dog. Was it just coincidence or fate? He didn't know and he really didn't care. He just saw this as his best opportunity to get his stone back.
He ran towards her and grabbed her. "What did you do with my stone, you bitch?" he yelled.
"Get off of me!" she yelled, as her poodle barked.
"Give it to me. I know you have it."
"Help!" she started to yell. "Help!"
Jon was starting to think something odd was going on. If she really did have the stone with her, she'd just wish him away, not call for help.
"Where did you put my stone?" he grilled her.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" she yelled back.
The thing was, he believed her. Something about the way she said it. What did she do? Erase her own memory of it?
He let her go.
"I'm calling the cops," she said, grabbing her cellphone.
"I wish you wouldn't. Can't we just make a deal or something?"
Suddenly, she put her phone away. "Okay, fine."
Unknown to Jon, the wish he just made had come true.
"Do my homework for a week," she said.
"All of it?"
She made a gesture towards her cellphone.
"Okay, okay."
Without the stone, he couldn't just wish this incident away. This was apparently his only way out. Besides getting arrested.
Sarah smiled. But Jon didn't.
As he walked away, he muttered "I wish ..."
