Karyn was there in about 10 minutes with Jessica arriving a few minutes later. The girls all hugged and went to Jon's room, where he showed Jessica the computer.
"How'd this happen? You aren't the kind of girl to forget something like this," said Jessica looking at the computer screen.
"I must have mistyped it when I changed it a couple nights ago. Think you can figure out how to get around it?" asked Jon.
"I don't have a lot of options. I can reset to factory settings, but then you lose everything on here, which I'm guessing you don't want Penny. The countdown resets every 24 hours with 15 more guesses as the default unless you changed it. The last option is that I tried to exploit a weakness in the security on this windows machine, but it may cause the operating system to get corrupted. The safest thing is to wait, but you already knew that so should I get to work on using that bug in the code?" asked Jessica.
"You sure about this, Penny? The operating system is pretty important," offered Karyn holding Jon's hand.
"Do it," replied Jon. Jessica restarted the computer on safe mode and then Jon and Karyn couldn't keep up with her. Karyn and Jon sat on his bed while they were waiting for Jessica to work her magic on Jon's machine.
"So, what do you think about being Penny?"
"Some parts are great. It was so good to see my grandpa, and see grandma like herself. My family seems so happy. It's weird, because they're real, but not my real. It was also pretty great to be in the girl's locker room."
"Boys will be boys, even when they are girls, I guess. At least you talked about your family first," replied Karyn, "Anything else?"
"Yea, anything else?" asked Jessica staring at the computer, "What's this about enjoying the girl's locker room and a boy being a girl? Is this like the 'your name' thing where you are swapping bodies with some hunk?"
Karyn and Jon looked at eachother for a second before Karyn replied, "How'd you figure that out so quick? Penny is actually a guy named Jon." Jon glared at his friend.
"I was just teasing a bit, but if we have a guy in our midst, now's a great time to figure out how the other side lives. For example, why do guys always want to go into the girl's locker room? It's just a place to change."
"Er, because it's got girls in it? And guys think you may have better towels and showers," replied Jon.
"Guys locker rooms have guys in them, but we don't talk much about going into their space. Why would we get better towels? Sweet! Done, we are in Jenny. Get it? Because you are Penny and Jon?" asked Jessica.
"That's pretty funny actually, " said Karyn, "I like that."
"I don't, now if I could sit by my computer please," asked Jon. Jessica moved and Jon sat down. He changed his password first to the one in his world, and wrote it down in the cover of the journal in case Penny needed it. He then went through his files and found the folder with all the different files. His shoulders slouched a bit in relaxation. He'd be able to be himself soon.
