I was not going to question that statement. Sometimes you just had to quit while you were ahead. If they were saying it was okay, then it was okay with me. There was no reason to argue and get my friends' religion banned. All of them would be affected greatly by me being an ass. There were a few stone masons that came along with us that did not know about it. After their work was done, I asked if they could arrange some stones in a semicircle just like the boulders were in the plains. It was a very nice clearing where you could look up and see the sky unobstructed by trees. After Enetes began going there to dream walk, the stones began to shimmer with some sort of power beyond the world. When I pointed it out, he smiled. "This means the Great Spirits are pleased in me for taking their reach further than before. If you can see it, that must mean they have accepted you as part of a tribe. It is nice to have your support in this new land." he said. I smiled back. "I am not from this world, as you know. If my best friends are centaurs, I might as well join their tribe." I did not know human gods.

Even with my time in the parish, I was not interested in the religion. I had the favor of the White Family. 2 of them were bishops that worshipped the sun god. It still did not mean much to me. I was always pretty secular. Even in my home world, I would rarely go to church. I was not an atheist though. Without a priest here with us, the chapel was empty. It was not until the first caravans of goods sent by the Whites came after its completion that we were able to send word to a seminary in the capitol. 3 young friars, eager for adventure, came to live with us. Homes were built for them on the road leading to the chapel. Thinking on how far we had come was nice. We really hit it off the with the king and got the charter. Then, we hit the ground running to make this resort work out. When the next caravan came, it would be the end. We would trade as normal, but when they were leaving we give them a letter to take back to the king and his court. We would be officially sending an invitation to the king to check all the work we did. Watching Agamos turn a corner, I wondered when they would come in.

Frantically, a man called out my name from behind me. I turned to face him. His name was Yon. He was the brother of Grissell, my wife. I asked him what was wrong. In all the time I had known him, it was not like him to be so panicky. Something had to have happened. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "Grissell's going into labor! You have to hurry!" he shouted. That was a bit concerning. She was still only 7 and a half months pregnant. We had a daughter together a year and a half ago. This time, she was pregnant with twins. We rushed back to the house. Her father and mother were already there. A midwife was attending to her in the bedroom. "How is she doing?" I asked them. "Not good. We were having tea when it happened. Something doesn't feel right." he said. That made me pause. Alard was a jovial man. "I know the children are a bit premature, but Grissell's a strong woman. She is also pretty healthy. I know that she'll pull through this." I said. He hummed and nodded his head. Her mother was a bit more blunt. "I don't think she has it in her to birth more than one at a time."
