Zipping through the city, they were practicing to fly in the mornings, beating up thugs that still had not gotten the memo not to mess with them in the afternoon and then studying law in the evenings. A party was only 6 people, so it was not possible for Anna to help everyone. Jeff and Trish were the weakest. She had to take them in. Chad and Brad were fine on their own. So were the alphas. They were able to get to level 10 by the time it was time to go back to school. In order to show their progress, Anna convinced them to take the bar exam. There was a general part for all sorts of legal procedures and how to conduct oneself in a courtroom. There were also test sections specific to the focus area they chose. Anna, Jeff and Trish passed by the skin of their teeth. It was really hard. The others passed with flying colors. Passing meant that they could be registered as attorneys and represent clients if they were hired or asked to do so. They could also give sound legal advice. More importantly, they all could apply to their government to be prosecutors or public defenders. It was really great.
After all of that, they were set. The leadership of the Justice Guild was not happy having to admit so many omegas. It was bad enough that there was open discrimination by the alpha members. The sleazy beta males trying to sleep with them was another thing entirely. They had to turn down and knock out so many people. Sometimes they had to use both strategies on the same person. As members of the guild they would also be given tasks to complete. The news caught wind of this. It was not like it was common for omegas to apply to a guild, let alone get in. The Aviation Guild here was a small branch and they did not have their licenses yet. Percy and The 4 Tudi brothers were interviewed. There were over 3 times as many betas as there were alphas. Omegas made 10% and Alphas made up 20%. Breaca was a constitutional monarchy with a parliament that people could vote for. Even though the alphas were the tops of every hierarchy, there was no way for them to simply enforce anti omega laws without the consent of the omega and beta population. It kept all laws liberal.
It was a source of pride for everyone's parents. The Tudi brothers' omega father was so pleased he was audibly purring the whole time. It was the same for Percy's beta mother. She was beaming. Lester and Quinn's parents were also there at the guild to celebrate. They seemed to be confused that they were genuine friends with all the omegas without trying to mate them. Quinn's father in particular was flabbergasted when neither Percy's mother nor the brothers' father wanted to negotiate on terms to let Quinn marry them. They were considered pretty high class. It did not matter to the beta parents. Their children did not want it. They loved and respected their children so it was easy to respect their wishes. When Quinn's father got shot down, Lester's father did not even make an attempt. Chad was also purring in happiness. This was something that he had done with his own merits. His strength and speed played no role here. They had not taken the knowledge test for the Aviation Guild. She set it up for the next week. Everyone passed except for Jeff and Trish. Anna barely passed.
