It had been a long day for Leslie. He’d had his first classes, met his peer group and Stacy, and all that as the wrong gender. All in all, it had been a pretty normal day though. He didn’t know any of this people, so he couldn’t tell if they treated him differently than they would’ve in his old body.

Stacy seemed like a great girl, smart, driven, and beautiful. So drive she had taken the trouble to change Leslie’s gender at the student registry. “What will I do about that?” Wondered Leslie.

Some texts distracted him. His peer group were texting, excited about going for some drinks and burgers at a nearby joint, just mere blocks away from Leslie’s. John was leading the efforts. Leslie hadn’t liked John very much, he seemed… too perfect… the perfect student, perfect gentleman, tallish, handsome, the whole package and what Leslie wasn’t at the moment. What he had liked the least was how interested he seemed in Stacy, asking questions, praising her tour of the campus, and following her like a puppy.

When Leslie saw Stacy’s text saying she’d join the group for drinks, he confirmed too.

With some time to kill, he decided to look for Sam’s medallion.

“Alright, kiddo. Where is this thing?” He told himself.

He figured it would be in the things he had brought to Sam’s room. After trying some things, he finally opened his sleeping bag, finding the medallion inside.

“All this trouble for this garbage” he said out loud as he inspected it closer. He didn’t have any clothes nearby, at least not ones he had worn in his old self, so even though he touched the medallion, nothing happened.

“Found it” he texted Sam along with a photo. “You’ll have to tell me why this piece of crap is so important.” Not waiting for a response, he put the medallion on the armrest of his couch and got ready to go to the bar.
