"What did you do to my mother?" Jon asked bluntly.
"Oh, you already found out about that, huh?" Sarah said, her laughing fading away, being replaced by a smirk. "She has a nice new outlook on life now, doesn't she? Just like Karyn here."
"Change her back."
"Uh ... no. Sorry, not gonna do it," she said, making Jon angrier. "But you know what? I promise I won't change anyone else close to you in the same way ... if you do what I say."
She had trapped him. He didn't want to do anything she said, obviously, but he also didn't want everyone he knew turned into a bunch of right-wing jerks. Sighing dejectedly, he looked at Sarah and asked "What do you want me to do?"
Sarah just grinned, while Karyn stood by wondering what the hell Jon was waiting for. Let's clobber this bitch and take the stone, Karyn thought. Maybe I should have brought my gun after all. No talking, just action. We'd be done by now.
