All of Jon's fears came to a point at that moment, because standing at the open door was Sarah McMillan herself. And in her left hand was the wishing stone.

But instead of becoming angry or vengeful, she just smiled and welcomed the two of them in. That concerned Jon quite a bit, wondering what she was up to.

After Sarah took a few steps back into her own house, Jon and Karyn entered, closing the door behind them.

"So, are you here to kill me, Karyn?" Sarah asked, with a smirk.

"Hey, how did you know that she ..." Jon started.

"Because I designed her that way, moron," Sarah said. "Everything about her new life was designed by me." She turned towards Karyn. "So, how do you like your new life?"

"I love it," Karyn said, causing Jon to groan inwardly. "But don't expect me to thank you for it."

"Oh, I don't." Sarah turned and looked at Jon, seeing that he was just as upset towards his friend as she had hoped. Surely, her plan for ruining their relationship was working. Although ... how did they manage to put their differences aside to come to her house? Could it be that even though Karyn was a staunch conservative and Jon was an unwavering liberal, that they're still friends? How was that possible? Of course, the answer was simple, although Sarah couldn't figure it out. They both wanted the stone, although for different reasons. Karyn wanted to use the stone to torture Sarah, whereas Jon wanted to use the stone to return (or try to return) Karyn and his mom to normal. But the bottom line was that they both wanted the stone. Common interest and all that. Turning back towards Karyn and putting her questions on hold for the moment, she smirked and said "I bet you wouldn't like your life if you got your old mind back."

Karyn looked afraid suddenly. She didn't want to become that ... liberal again.

Then Sarah said "Back to normal," and snapped her fingers once.

Karyn blinked, then looked down at herself in horror.

"Karyn? Are you okay?" Jon asked, concerned.

She looked at him with wide eyes filled with terror. She remembered. She remembered everything. How she felt completely loyal to conservative ideals and dismissed everyone else who wasn't like her as pot-smoking Godless heathens, how she dressed all prim and proper, how she treated Jon and his mother. Oh god! Jon's mom! She changed, didn't she? How had that happened? Was that her doing or was it something that Sarah wished. She hoped for the latter. It was bad enough that Sarah had turned her into a conservative, but it was worse if Karyn herself had been the one to change Jon's mother, even if she had no control over what she was doing. Just the thought that she might have condemned another person's life to that made her shudder.

"I see you don't agree with your other self," Sarah said with a smile.

"Change me back," Karyn plead. She wanted her old life back, not this new one where she was a fascist bitch. "Please, change me back to normal. I promise I won't ..."

Sarah broke her off, saying "Become conservative Karyn," then she snapped her fingers once, again.

Karyn blinked, then her demeanor changed ... back to her conservative self.

Sarah laughed.
