Looking at things through the lens of the game setting, he had expected Anna to abandon him for the alphas. There was no need to think about it. Alpha males were the best. Beta males were better than omega males. Chad was an omega. Hearing her stand her ground was novel since she was a beta female. Most girls would think that it was an honor. Anna took it a step further. She actually stuck up for him and defended him in public. That had really wounded the pride of the 2 alphas. "Stuck up bitch!" the first one said. "Get out of here." she said. "You don't know who the fuck you're messing with!" the other growled. Anna stood up. She was not going to risk a whole gang war for Colby. That was insane at level 1. 2 assholes in a fast food place was more much manageable. "Either apologize to us or leave." she said. "Or what!?" the growling one snapped. He tried to use his pheromones on her. It triggered a new minigame. She had to keep a bouncing ball steady in the middle of a vibrating bar. That represented her composure in the face of the pheromones. She did the tutorial first.
Mastering the minigame was important. If she was going to be brushing up against alphas, she needed to be able to not get caught by pheromones. They could stun you or cause panic and anxiety in the target. Anna took the tutorial seriously and made sure that she could do it before trying it out for real. This was just a high school boy. It was much easier to overcome than if he was an adult or a master of using them offensively. That would be a bit of a problem. His pheromones were not that crazy. After passing the minigame, she was able to point at the door. "What the fuck is the matter with you!? Using pheromones is crazy. Get the hell out of here, or I'll toss you out of here myself." she snapped. He was stunned that it did not work. He was still stuck in his feeling though. "Stupid whore!" he spat as he tried to slap her. Chad caught the hand. "Leave us alone." he said. He got sucker punched by the first alpha for his troubles. "Who the fuck was talking to you, omega!? Know your place." Anna had seen enough. She kicked the alpha with the pheromones in their balls. He crumbled fast.
