She got there with enough time to see them sitting on the bench. They did not get up once in the half hour she was there. Anna was not sure what she was expecting. As a Player she could choose her path. There was discrimination against omega males. Even if they did not resign from the club, they were probably never going to be able to play again. Playing was important to them, but it did not look like things would all work out. When their practice was over, Anna went to them. They saw her and walked over. "Hey. How was your practice, guys?" They did not look happy. "Coach said that we can't play unless we fill out the resignation form." Chad said. Anna raised an eyebrow. "Won't you have to leave the club if you fill it out?" she asked. Reid just smirked at her. It was not something that he liked saying. "Damned if we do, damned if we don't." he said to her. "I'm sorry to hear that." she said. That was her genuine reaction to it. It honestly really sucked. Rolling her shoulders, she said "Alright. I'm going to talk to your coach." They really looked shocked. She gave them a smile and walked.
None of them thought that Anna was actually going to do it like she said. Walking up to him, he turned and smiled at her. "Are you here for the team tryouts!? The girls do not start until next week." he said. Anna shook her head no. "I'm not interested in tennis tryouts. I'm in the Newspaper Club. I was wondering why you won't let the omega males play." she said. He lost his smile quickly. "Well, they are not safe on the team with a large number of alphas around. Not only that, but team cohesion will go down as the alphas fight over the omegas." he said. She nodded her head. "I see. Would you count that towards your own bigotry or your incompetence? I would assume that a coach who was a real alpha male could keep some high school kids in line." she remarked with a deadpan expression. He snarled at her. "Look here, young lady. I don't make the rules. Nature does. Besides they'll be out paced by all the alphas anyway. Let them settle down, find a nice partner and focus on their studies." he spat in anger. "What would I need to do for you to let them play?" she asked. He glared at her.
With a cruel smile, he said "If you are so interested in the team's affairs, you can play against me. A set of 3 games with a tiebreaker. You win, I let them all play again. If I win, you become the team manager and give us glowing coverage in the Newspaper Club every week. How about it?" he challenged. She sighed out loud. That was an incredibly petty wager. "Fine. I'll play against you tomorrow, coach. Don't you dare forget about it." Anna said, done with him. Turning her back on him, she walked back to the omega males on the bench. He did not mind at all. The adult alpha male was confident. "I'll see you then, young lady!" he called after her. Anna ignored him. The 4 were all shocked she would agree to something like that. "You're going to get crushed tomorrow!" Chad warned. Anna shrugged her shoulders. "I'm a high school girl. If I get the win, you get to play again. If I lose, I'll be right with you on the team. It's a great deal for me either way once we start dating." she explained. Anna still had to get herself ready for a match. She was good at sports games but, in tennis, she was rusty.
