Even though they were busy doing something there, it was not something that they would execute on with us here. I was not going to stay around. Waiting for them to do it would be too boring. The 3 of us left them in the alley. It was no use for us to check in on the syndicate members. All of them were burned to a crisp. Because we were so effective, things were progressing pretty quickly. Once the prisoners that we brought in were all questioned, they would make some plans. We would also be called in to finally speak to the major. When that happened, hopefully, we could bring them to the table in order to get a peace deal with Sonic Clan. The Researcher faction clan is a pretty nice collection of people. They would be better assets to the government than the Conquerors. For that reason alone, it is crucial that we kept them in place. That was what we would tell the major. Hopefully she would see reason. If not, we would have to go around her and force them to accept a peace. Once that happened, we could get out after killing off all Electric Clan AEP units that refused to leave the area.
Killing all the AEP units would be easy now that we had the mini EMP. Even with the secret out, there was currently no way to counter it. There was nothing they could do about it other than try to kill us first. Naturally, it would be the Researcher faction clans that would have the edge on this. Research was in the name. All of the cyborgs were very intelligent. Given enough time and resources, they could figure it out. The setting just gave Researchers a huge buff as that was their whole ethos in coming to this planet. 11-002 was effected by it. He would be one of the first to try and push through a countermeasure. Wind Clan was in the same boat. They had a head start on this, but they were Advocates. The Advocate faction clans were all aware of the situation because of the incident with 06-003. They might be able to squeeze a solution out slightly faster by collaborating together. I had not heard any word on their progress yet. Then again, I was not that close to any of the clan leaders or engineers. There was no reason that they would be required to tell me. It was a shame. I would help too.
Questioning how reliable we could be was not irrational. We pretty much only did what we did on a whim. There was no reason to believe we would not simply abandon the cause if something else came along. It would just leave them high and dry. Paul and Brett have proven that they were in this just for the thrill of having fun here. This was an unpopular sub world on the server. That meant few Players. With that being the case, the number of dedicated Sages were also low. As long as they did not try to nuke the world with stupid shit, there was no reason to fear being caught. We had almost got caught with that literal nuke. It would never happen again. Being caught by the Sages was not something we wanted. It could lead to us being permanently banned from the game. I really did not want that. Neither did Paul nor Brett. We ran into a squad of Exterminus goons. We killed them all without any warning. We were not playing around. We then saw a lot of Electric Clan AEP units. They were trying to do an ambush on syndicate members. Some of them looked familiar. I saw a couple before.
