All of us aside from our captives of course. It was now time to bring them down to the military holding cells. They would be held safely until we were able to get to their 10 syndicate men quota. Between the 3 of us looking for the encounters it would be a simple matter to get 5 more of them. Phobia and Exterminus were in full force. It was not something that we needed to work hard for. Walking down the block, we saw a syndicate car. They were getting a coffee. That was good with us. We waited for them to return. 4 of them came over. We knocked them out without any warning and dragged them over to the cells. Nobody cared. The whole quadrant was very desensitized to all of the violence. Everyone living in the west was suffering under a culture of violence and war. The violence on the streets was everywhere. People on all sides were recruiting. Electric Clan was blessed by Erosion Clan. The naughty AEP units decided to join the war on a whim. That gave them the support that they needed. Humans syndicates were easy to replenish. They needed to convince people cyborgs were evil.
Sonic Clan had the homefield advantage. That kept things easy for them. It was a big defensive war for them. They just needed to protect their borders. Destruction was localized to this part of the quadrant as a result. When the war was over, things would calm down quite a bit. 5+4 was 9. We had 9 syndicate men in custody. We only needed to capture one more. Looking around, we had to search a bit harder. There was trio of Phobia members walking a few blocks away. Paul and Brett each took out a gun and executed them in broad daylight with a single headshot. I apprehended the third syndicate member with a full body tackle. He had no clue what happened. He was having fun with comrades just a moment ago. Now he was cuffed and being dragged to the cells. It was crazy how fast things can change. Especially when a Devil randomly came after you. Once we got him to the cells, all of the soldiers seethed openly at us. The captain was pissy. "Fine. We need to interrogate these prisoners. We will set up a meeting later!" she said. We were then dismissed. We were closer now.
Fighting had to stop. The peace and the safety of the western quadrant needed this to happen. After a few minutes, we past the big 3 star hotel. When we went down the block, it was Brett that stopped me and Paul. He pointed down an alley way. There was a male and a female. The couple were leaning against the wall of the hotel. What was interesting to me was that the male was an AEP unit. They were wearing a very similar uniform as the captured Electric Clan AEP unit. Something else of note was the charred bodies on the ground surrounding them. That confirmed that he was an enemy AEP unit. Only one from Electric Clan would be able to leave wounds like that on a body. Sonic waves could do a lot of damage to a person. I had a lot of respect for them. It did not burn though. He looked to be put upon by the female. She was grabbing at his junk and smirking at him. The AEP unit did not do much about it other than frown. That was an enigma. I wanted to know what the blond woman had over a powerful Conqueror AEP unit. More people came from the opposite end of the alley.
