Doing so, Jake was able to wire it over. "There. We have all humiliated ourselves quite enough. Give my AEP units back to me." he said with a sigh. Paul smiled. "That was one tiny negotiation. You can have one of them. For the other one, you'll need to pledge not to target random scrappers and reprogrammers. This quadrant is a big shithole because of all the fighting. You all need to calm the fuck down!" he said. Brett added "We're here to get the military to chill out too. If we play our cards right, you can have a seat at the table next to Sonic Clan. None of the other transmission hub zones are freaking out like this. Nothing is going to get done if everyone here is too busy fighting everyone else." That was definitely true. We solved the huge conflict in the east and north. I had to muscle my way into the south, but we got that done as well. I was sure we could get this region handled as well. Not a single doubt was in my mind about that fact. This was a video game. After enough quests, we would get a big reward somewhere down the line. We just had to trigger them all first. I was all in.
Even if Jake wanted to keep fighting, we had him by the balls. There was no way for him to keep this kind of pressure up with 2 of his AEP units down for the count. They would lose and they knew it. We had the AEP units right here in this room. We could easily keep them as prisoners. We did that to our other enemies. He sighed and called in the policy of non interference. Now that he had given in to our demands, it was time to turn on the energy generator. 08-001 and 08-003 got up. They did not like being made to feel small and helpless. Especially not when it was a bunch of humans making them feel this way. Jake called them to his side before they could say or do a single thing to mess things up further. Both AEP units obeyed. Jake took each of them by the arm and said "Thank you again for returning them to me. The clan is well served by them." They left together and that was the very end of that mess. Just by doing this alone, we had solved a lot of violence in the quadrant. Erosion Clan would stay out of Sonic Clan territory. They would also stop slaughtering people on the street.
Fighting had to stop. The peace and the safety of the western quadrant needed this to happen. After a few minutes, we left their big 3 star hotel. When we went down the block, it was Brett that stopped me and Paul. He pointed down an alley way. There was a male and a female. The couple were leaning against the wall of the hotel. What was interesting to me was that the male was an AEP unit. They were wearing a very similar uniform as the captured Electric Clan AEP unit. Paul went down the alley without saying anything. Brett and I looked at each other. Brett just shrugged his shoulders at me. We followed after Paul. When we were on them, the AEP unit glared at us. "You have some nerve coming over to me after what you did to 07-007. He warned us all about you. I'll kill you before you pull out that toy of yours." he growled. That was an understandably aggressive stance. The young woman took a bold step in front of him. "I'm not letting anything happen to you, Fivey." The AEP unit frowned. "I do appreciate your words, but I will not let a human protect me. I will fight alone." he said.
