As it turned out, Sarah McMillan (now Sunshine Skye) did, in fact, still have the wishing stone in her possession, even though she had forgotten what it was or what it could do.
Now in this new messed-up world, Sunshine, who was now a slave (just like the rest of her family), found the stone among some of her stuff. She vaguely remembered it, but wasn't sure why it was so important. Picking it up and thinking about her life, she said "I wish," not knowing that what she said next would be granted.
