Just like that, we were hurtling through the air. I was not wearing a seatbelt, so I went flying through the car windshield. I was left lying in a broken heap on the street. My health was critical. If I had not eaten the sandwich, I would have simply died. It was Sherry's muscle car that did it to us. She slowly limped over to me from her car. Her dedication was legendary and commendable. To have done this, she would have had to have tracked us down the second that she got back up. From there, she would have had to get in her car, ignore the heavy wounds she suffered from my magic and bullets and intercept us on the road. This was a top notch assassin. I would expect nothing less from someone of her level. AEP units were capped at level 65. Sherry was at level 80. At the end of the day, she was a mini boss. If I killed her, an even stronger assassin would spawn in trying to kill me. "It looks like I caught up to you guys after all." she said, covered in blood. I looked up at her. "I guess you're not going to let me up for a round 2 then." I said. All I could do was stall. She shook her head.

Killing me would not do much. I was a Player. I would be stunned in a black void for a few minutes. Then I would spawn in at the motel room I bought. Losing my hacking laptop and my current weapon loadout would suck. It was not a setback that I could not bounce back from though. Dying would lower their aggro against me though. She might not like me on a personal basis, but Sherry would not have a reason to keep killing me. That did not matter. I chuckled to myself. She asked what was so funny. It made her put a boot on my neck. There was no reason not to tell her. "What an amazing assassin you are. I'm not sure what you're going to do next though. Even if you kill me, the AEP unit is going to kill you in the state your in." I said. She aimed her shotgun right at my head. "I don't care anymore. You fucked up and I'm getting all your bounty. We had something great going on and he had to ruin it." Sherry was going to pull the trigger. Before she could, a sniper rifle from the AEP units trunk blew her head off. I was covered in the blood spray. The AEP unit scoffed. He said "Get up."

I had no choice other than to get up. He had no sympathy for humans. "Is the car okay? It had to have taken a beating." I asked him. He glared harshly at the remains of the assassin. Sherry was headshot with a high tech alien sniper rifle. It was not quite what I had unlocked and developed, but it was clearly advanced down its own tree. I was still impressed. "...I told you already, dumbass. This car is attuned to me using my own nanites. It'll drive as long as I'm behind the wheel." he said. Looking at the damage, he sighed deeply. "This is going to take quite a while to fix up at the garage though. Fucking bitch!" he said, more to himself than to me. I got in the car again. It was a far less smooth drive out of the city. We went to another city. Using some backstreets and sideroads, we pulled into a garage. There were humans working there. I was surprised. "What the fuck did you do to it, Buck!?" an older mechanic yelled as he got close enough to see the damage closer up. "Replace the paint job and buff out all the damage. Don't change a single computerized part." the AEP ordered them.
