Around this time, Nadine Woods was still riding her motorcycle to her girlfriend Krista's house, which was just outside the town's limits. By the time she arrived, her hair had gotten noticeably shorter and she had gained some muscle. She still didn't quite look like the original Thea Woods, but she was getting there.
Ringing the doorbell, she smirked, thinking about all the fun she had planned with Krista for the day. She had promised her hot girlfriend that she would cut class that day and spend it with her instead. She continued to smile, but then frowned a bit. She had planned on having hot sex with her, but ... sex before marriage was wrong, right? Where the hell was this coming from? She had had sex with Krista lots of times ... right? Little did she know, that thought came about because a little bit of Nadine's original self was still there, influencing her, though not apparently enough to stop her from being an out-and-proud butch lesbian.
The door opened, revealing Krista, all dressed and ready to go. Nadine smiled. "Hey, babe."
But Krista frowned and looked confused. "Who are you?"
"What the hell do you mean 'who am I'? It's me. Nadine." When no recognition appeared on Krista's face, she got irritated. "Your girlfriend?"
"Thea's my girlfriend. I've never met you before," she said. Though she was sure that the clothing this girl was wearing belonged to Thea. And that motorcycle parked on the driveway looked almost exactly like Thea's too. But, of course, that's because it was Thea's, now belonging to Nadine.
"Who the hell is Thea?" Nadine demanded. Was her girlfriend cheating on her?
"Thea Woods!" Krista blurted out. "You must know who she is. You're wearing her clothes."
Nadine blinked, shocked. Woods? But that was Nadine's last name and she didn't know any Thea.
Neither of them knew that things were different now because of a wish made with a wishing stone, so they also didn't know that the stone had a range of effectiveness. Anyone within the range of the stone, who didn't hear the wish, didn't notice any changes in reality. But Krista lived just outside the range, so reality didn't change for her, and so, she still remembered the reality before the wish was made, when Thea Woods was her girlfriend.
