Like many branches in You Are What You Wish (YAWYW for short), much of the action is set in and around Lake Point High School. I've worked in many of the quasi-canon cast into the story. Sarah McMillan's usual cheerleading cohorts (Melissa Smith, Tiffany Sanders, Amber Levine, Jessica Davis, Allison Wright) are present, as are most of the jocks. In 2022, I decided to bring in as many quasi-canon characters as I was aware of that I could find a place for in the story, since the Transformation Guns crisis affects just about everyone at school (whether they get zapped with a Transformation Gun or not). I brought in Jennifer and Sarah Taylor, Melony Tyne, Walter Smukmeyer, Zelda Whitefield, Sabrina Johnson, and even a few that didn't quite qualify as quasi-canon since they'd only appeared in one or two branches at the most but I liked them (such as Mr. Matheson and Rebecca Fadil).

However, all of the following are characters I've introduced and added to the Lake Point High School cast in Transformation Guns. Some of them have appeared in a few of the other branches I've written episodes for since then. But they first appeared in Transformation Guns.

Lake Point High School

Starla Stanfield

Starla is a member of the Lake Point High School Drama Club along with the Taylor Twins and Carl James (who are the only quasi-canon characters I've found to be regularly associated with the drama club and/or band). She is also a critic who has her blog where she posts reviews of school productions, community theatre productions, and just about every live entertainment show she attends. She is known to be sometimes harsh in her criticism, and occasionally forgets the drama club's axiom "Leave the drama to the stage". Her default hairstyle is short and blonde, and her favorite colors are white, black, yellow and cyan.

Her first appearance was in the cafeteria chaos sequence episode "Transformation Guns: Chaos in the cafeteria". She's since gone on to play a bigger role in the Wishing Coins branch (as the first Lake Point High student to find one of the Wishing Coins), and has received mentions in some of the episodes I've written in other story branches.

Clyde Meehan

Clyde Meehan generally keeps to himself, as there aren't a lot of other students at Lake Point High School who are big fans of country music. He tends to dress much like he works on a ranch or something (which he doesn't - he lives in an average middle class neighborhood like many of the average students, but he DOES have cousins who live on a ranch several states away).

Enid Parkes

Enid is a friendly and well-intentioned cafeteria worker who wishes she had better cafeteria supplies. The whole stereotype of school cafeterias having bad food was present back when she was a high school student, and she does NOT want to perpetuate it if she can help it. Unfortunately, she is limited in what she can do by the school's budget. She is medium height wise, slightly pudgy, and has short dark hair.

Enid also plays a role in my Wishing Coins branch, where she gets an opportunity to make a wish of hers come true. She also helps Jon and Athena in an episode or two I've written in another branch.

Dawn Carrington

Dawn is a friendly and patient school nurse, who generally wishes the best for the students. In her own school days, there was a school nurse she looked up to who inspired her to do her best. Despite having to treat injuries due to sports causes, or due to fights that occur between jocks and bullies, she shows a good amount of patience and tries to understand people and be sympathetic (within reason).

Theodora Blakeley

Theodora is a daughter of the 'fire and brimstone' minister Reverend Blakely, who preaches at a local Lake Point church. She is close friends with Nadine Ferguson, and can give Nadine a run for her money as far as being an uptight religious sort goes. Generally a prudish sort with little tolerance for the antics of those who don't share her views. I envision her as having dark hair pinned up, and her favorite color is very dark blue.

Other branches: So far there's only been a brief passing mention of her family in the 'Charity Stone Dark Reality' branch, where Athena (using humor as a coping mechanism) muses that people like the Fergusons and the Blakeleys wouldn't accept magical healing unless it came from people dressed up as angels (wings, white robes, halos, harps, the whole bit).

Brad Stephens

Brad Stephens is the captain of the Lake Point High School hockey team. Not much has been revealed about his interests beyond hockey, though most of the Jocks and cheerleaders know him pretty well.

Mrs. Lynch

Not much has been said about Mrs. Lynch, except that she's a guidance counselor caught in the midst of the mayhem. Unlike certain guidance counselors in other branches (such as the formidable Miss Fine), Mrs. Lynch is ill equipped to deal with strangeness that occurs such as the Transformation Guns. She is not to be confused with Rosemary Finch (the school librarian who has very little patience for everyone else's antics), but is used to some students getting them confused.

These are the new Lake Point High School cast characters I've introduced as of the posting of this note in Forum. More might be added later when/if they are needed to fill some need the existing characters can't for one reason or another.

Next up I'll be doing brief profiles on the Research and Development people from McMillan Tech Industries, who are the protagonists of the MTI portions of the Day One story and their co-workers in R&D.
