Staring at his computer screen mulling over the options, a thought suddenly occurred to Jeff. When he was looking through the list of transformation "packages," a few had had names like "societal changes," "world changes," and the like. It seemed like, however this program worked, it was designed to change more than just one person at a time. And if that were right...
Tentatively, Jeff adjusted his cursor and clicked on the "subject" field in the strange program. The field wend blank, and his cursor blinked on the screen. More confidently, he wrote: "human beings."
As soon as he hit enter, an array of options appeared in the window below. A few, near the top, were highlighted in red.
"WARNING: selecting an entire species may lead to unwanted ripple effects. Without humans, other concepts may no longer function as input. Do you want to limit your changes?"
Jeff frowned, and scanned through the "limiting" options. The program suggested he limit his change to a set percentage of individuals, or people possessing a certain trait, like brown eyes. After a moments thought, he grinned, and typed in his first set of changes.
