Queen Cassandra was among Labor members of the Upper House. King Percival was making the rounds with Conservatives before moving to the national team. When the royal attendant came to Kevin, he was told to gather his family and approach the king. The king was not going to come to omegas. Kevin did as he was told. It was an honor. Everyone was gathered and were brought to the king as he spoke to his friends. The king smiled and looked at Kevin. "What a lovely family you have. Can you introduce them to me?" he said. Kevin beamed as pride as he went down the line. Molly and Anna were both his daughters in law. The king smiled at the alpha father. "A beautiful family, Mr. Idut." he said to Kevin. He then looked at the boys for a second. The king paused as he thought of what to say. It was clear that he was a big alpha supremacist. Anna wondered what he would say to them here. "Congratulations on your win in the first round Burke Cup. Cassandra and I watched at home. I am sure all the discipline and wealth of integrity your family has instilled got you this far.
The king continued his words of high praise. "Keep up the good work. All of Breaca is watching you." he said with a warm smile. The boys were beaming. They had been acknowledged by their king. Indirect as it was, it was high praise of their family. The king looked at the 4 of them again and then looked at Kevin. "Once again, the lion's share of the praise should go for you for raising such amazing sons. Would you mind it if I had a personal audience with one?" Both Anna and Kevin immediately quirked an eyebrow. It was ringing some serious alarm bells in her head. Anna looked at Kevin to see what he would say in response to that wild request. "Pardon me just for a moment, Your Majesty? What did you just ask of me?" he asked. It was a stalling tactic. He wanted to get more time to think. The king just smiled a bit wider. Both knew he heard perfectly. The king was the ruler of the nation and a sigma male. He did not need to back down. "I asked you if you would send one of your sons to me for a private audience. I understand they are married to betas. I am as well. But..."
He trailed off and was on us to wait for him to finish the thought. He was the king after all. "... That doesn't mean we can't get to know others. They would be returned to you in the morning." he said at last. It was what Anna thought. Now the others knew what it all meant. Jumping in was something Anna had to do. "Your Majesty. It's really mean to tease people on the first meeting. Even as betas, we love and cherish our husbands dearly. Even the mere suggestion of someone leading them astray is deeply hurtful. I know you meant no harm, but please have mercy on your subjects' hearts." she said. The king turned to her and blinked. He was not expecting someone to stand up to him. He could not criticize her openly because of her passive callout. He was the one to suggest something outrageous. She purposefully called it a joke to give him an out. If it was a "joke" he could back off. If not, then there would be a real conflict. The king simply smiled. "What if it was not a joke?" he asked. "If it was not a joke, I would loudly rebuke you for misusing your powers to have an affair."
