Ronan was the one doing singles competition in the Burke Cup. Because of that, Bruce decided to give him a special outfit for the ball. Anna had eyes and could be honest about it. She supported Mitchel's relationship with Ronan. At the prime minister's mansion, it was a real shock to see Reid, Reilly and Rhys dance with Zoe, Molly and Anna. They were taking the masculine role and were praised for how well they did it. It made their chests swell up with pride. It was culturally expected for omegas, even males, to take on the feminine role. It was always to be acknowledged. Ronan paced back and forth at the edge of the dance floor. It was clear what he wanted. He had only danced once with Kevin. Continuously dancing with your parent was super lame at his age. Mitchel was a silent shadow following him. Some clapped at the end of the song. Clearly it was more approved of than the others were.
When the other brothers saw that, they were surprised as well. Anna did not care about the opinions of random NPCs. She rolled her eyes and pulled Reilly closer. She gave him a smirk. "These people don't know how to handle a dominant omega. If you want to go for some cheers, I can lead you this time." she teased. He gave her a stern look in return. "No way. I don't care about that. I was just surprised that Mitchel finally learned how to follow rhythm." he said. Anna got a chuckle out of that. Ronan and Mitchel spent another 2 songs dancing together. That was when they were called in for a meal. The members of the national team were given the places of honor. It was the reason for the event. The omegas were ranked lower than the alphas in the table position. It was a 4 course meal. After the meal, people socialized while the music resumed. This lasted an hour before a crier came. He announced the king and queen were in attendance. The king and queen entered the hall to a rendition of the national anthem. Everyone bowed their heads until they were put at ease.
King Percival Breaca was the reigning monarch of the country. He was 31 and had ascended the throne only shortly before the game started. Queen Cassandra was 33 years old. She was a beta female. That was rare as all the monarchs were sigma. Usually the wife of a prince or princess would be an omega. Percival being a sigma male was not that hard. All you had to do was be an alpha and fuck 3 other alphas in the ass. His father's sigma gene made the first part easy. As a prince of the nation, it probably would not be hard to find 3 poor alphas willing to bend over. Percival and Cassandra had always been childhood friends. They had fallen in love at the royal academy before either had awakened to their secondary gender. Cassandra's family was middling in comparison to others at court, but they were still nobles. They got married after university. Percival got a degree in political science. Cassandra achieved her masters in biochemical engineering. While only the second son of a concubine, all of his siblings suddenly died when his father began falling ill.
Anna raised her eyebrows at that fact. She was not going to say anything about 28 healthy nobles dropping dead around their new queen. Zipping it was best for Anna's health. Cassandra had given birth to 2 children: a daughter and a son. Both were going to be alphas and therefore could continue the royal family line patrilineally. The younger son was favored to assume the throne next after Percival. They were already 8 and 4. She had troubles with childbirth so it was seen as a huge flaw by her enemies. Usually royal children during a monarchs reign were ranked higher in line for the throne. It did not seem likely at her age that she would have many more royal children, if any. Anna was not concerned, they had an heir and a spare in the form of their daughter. The king and queen took a dance together. It was clear from their faces that they loved each other. After that, they split up to speak to other people. While it was not supposed to be a political office, they obviously had their own opinions on how their country should go. Anna saw they talked to different factions.
