Anna said "Okay. I'll take the guys over to Labor and Reilly can go with Omegan Freedom. You can have fun with the Conservatives." Kevin was pretty pissed with that. It was a classic case of being outmaneuvered. The Labor members knew they needed to strike while they could. "Sure thing. My office is right down the hall. It won't take that long to get you 4 signed up." one of the beta females said. We hurried along with them. They put some papers for voting registration in front of them. They all selected Labor as their party except for Reilly and Ronan. Anna made sure to shuffle them along to Omegan Freedom before meeting up with the larger group. They got to register as well. Yet another photo was taken. This one was going to go up alongside the full group photo. Evan and his father also had a photo with the Shriners. It was not a good look for Kevin and his leadership in the Conservative member's office. Still, he smiled despite himself and had a long conversation with some politicians alone. He had a good time. Having an issue heard directly was really rare.
From there, the boys met up and they all went to the 4 star hotel prepared for them. Evan and his father took the last train of the night home. It was a shame they would miss what would happen next. Anna could not wait to see them take parliament by storm with their speeches. It was early in the morning when they left for the building. It was full address to parliament so every member would be together in front of the empty throne. Breaca was a constitutional monarchy. Parliament met at the pleasure of the crown, but even the king and queen of the nation were bound by the laws of the land. The king and queen were not going to attend. However, they would no doubt be watching on television like the rest of the country. They did not begin until after 11. Each of the members were given time to speak. The alphas were obviously given more time. Evan had written a heartfelt thank you and had given it to Reilly to speak it out loud. They were doubles partners. It was extremely humble. The boys were all proud and confident in their time in front of parliament. Anna really liked it.
Looking at the online reception, people had mixed views. It seemed to break down on gender lines. Omegas loved it. Alphas criticized them relentlessly. Betas were in the middle. Their opinion shifted on party lines. The Shriner party members loved Evan's letter because he specifically gave them a shout out. Labor liked Reid and Reilly because they were on the same team. The photo was very influential. It was all around great for the progressive betas that liked the Omegan Freedom party. These were the first omegas to address parliament. There were 4, but really 5, omegas speaking to the nation. They were all strong, handsome, competent, very well spoken and independent. Combined with the fact that they might really be national heroes soon, they could probably run for office and win one day. Sports stars tended to retire early after all. When they made it back to the hotel they took a bit to breathe and relax. Charles called them to congratulate them for their speeches. Bruce did the same. The fact he sent outfits for the ball showed he was very invested in the 4 boys.
