If this was some sort of turf war, it looked pretty vicious. They were picking each other up and slamming their enemies around. That seemed to be a red merfolk exclusive power. Some were also using telepathy to deal psychic damage. That appeared to be a shared trait between all the colors. Both red and blue merfolk were clutching their heads in pain. The blue scaled ones seemed to have hyrdrokinesis exclusive to them. They were forming balls of water with their hands and blasting their enemies with it. "Why do you think they're fighting? They're all the same, right?" Alyas asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I think that each color seems to be a separate tribe. We never saw ones of a different color mixed in a group." I said. Dolan just looked at me. "Okay, but why are they fighting each other? The white and black ones let them pass." he questioned. "I think I was right. These blue ones seem way more hostile and aggressive than the red ones. I don't think any of the red ones are dying yet, but the blue ones probably did not want the red ones in the territory." was my big answer.

Even as a coleader, I had no clue what action to take. I looked at over Haroon. He would be decisive at least. "What do you think!? It seems the red ones can't travel any further up the stream without getting beat up by the blue ones. Still, there is no guarantee that the blue ones won't attack us if we get involved in the fight. Especially if we start killing the red ones in front of them." Haroon rolled his shoulders with a smile on his face. "Then the answer is clear. We will take out the blue ones first. The reds are total cowards. Running has backfired on them. After the bigger threat is neutralized, we will take out the red ones." That was at least a decisive answer. It was a way too bloodthirsty course of action for me, but I was the one that asked him for his opinion. We were going to have to do something about this. If the answer was fight the blues, that was what we would do. Haroon led us all into the battle. We ignored the red ones and charged towards the nearest blue one. Surrounding it, we all got to work punching and kicking it. The male let out a very angry sounding warble at us.

Feeling every single blue merfolk go hostile to us in that instant, their health bars appeared over their heads. They were still hostile to the red merfolk, so some were very occupied. They could not gang up on us. The one we all were ganging up on was blasting us with water and trying to bite us or slapping us with their tail. Every so often, one of us would stagger back from a psychic attack. For me, it was like a blast of too much information at once. It was disorienting. After we knocked it out, Haroon reached down to snap its neck. That was the killing blow. Everything changed. All the merfolk, red and blue, stared at us. The red ones took their injured comrades and fled. The downed ones were dragged along using their telekinesis. They went back down stream. The blue ones abandoned fighting the red ones and began to target us exclusively. The blue merfolk wanted revenge. We were blasted by water and telepathic attacks increased a dozen fold. We only got a couple more killed before we had to retreat. Being in melee range with the first one did us good. We charged.
