I was not impressed with them in this moment. It was like my mother said all the time. "My favorite child is the one that is the one causing me the least problems." There was no need for this. I frowned deeply. Sighing, I turned my back to them to look at the others. We played hand games and I made the others a flower crown for them. As we put them on their heads, I smiled. "I think these crowns look really nice on you guys. What do you think?" I asked them. They were both blushing. "I guess it looks good on me if you say it does, Lord David." the surly one said with a small pout. The shy one looked down and said "I think it's nice." When I gave them more snacks, the pair both ate them gratefully. Eventually, the incarnation from Osna won the big fight. I ignored them until the victor hugged me from behind. "Lord David, I won the fight. I think that I deserve a reward. Don't you agree?" he said right in my ear. "Hmm. You think so?" I asked. He nodded his head. "I am your very first incarnation and I've just defeated another one." "I made this party for all 5 of us to get along."
Disliking this situation was very clear on my face. That gave the incarnation pause. He stepped back and said "I don't... understand, Lord David. We are Blade Spirits. All of us crave violence. Fighting is what we do." I gestured to the other 2 clones. "They were peacefully playing with me and we got really closer." I said before looking at them. "Don't you 2 feel closer!?" I asked them. They looked at each other. "I never hated him, Lord David." the surly one said. There was a very nervous look on the shy one's face. "I like him, if that's okay, Lord David." he muttered. I nodded my head and said "Of course that's okay! That's what I want." Since the vibe was off, I decided to cut my losses. "It was a really fine party, I guess. Looks like it's time to go back now." I said. That was the exact moment that Flaym the Wild appeared. "Looks like there's a selection of spirits to conquer." he shouted as he ran at us. He was super powered up somehow. There was nothing that he would not do to kill us. That means we had to answer with force. We surrounded and attacked. He was a boss.
Everyone did their part, but 2 of us had weakened themselves with infighting. I was very upset when they were downed. We did not have Ras, so it was much harder to stun him. When we got him down to 14% of his health, he was stunned by a lucky hit by the shy clone. I was able to bind him with the stakes and chains I had. There is a lot more of them in my inventory. With that, I was able to place my hands on his hand and try to absorb him. The popup came and I selected yes. I absorbed all 45 levels that he had accrued. That put me at Level 67. It was a massive boon for me. I also got the ability to throw a debuff on enemies. Taking out 10% of an opponent's strength was important. That could be the difference between life and death in a massive fight. Now that this was the case, I was going to have to let the downed clones regained their moral forms. I was going to have to go to the red oni side of the river. They were too precious to simply hand them over to random warriors as champions. Now it was time to go. The others could come and get more kills. It was fun.
