Obviously, he was going to succeed. He was a mini boss going after some random human NPC. In the morning, he had his new wife with him. "What do I do with her!? It isn't like I can let loose on her." he said. "This is your wife now. She is as close to a human mate as you'll get. You can have children with her and she will raise them for you. She can do the chores around the house such as cook and clean for you. If you want a conversation partner that's not me or the other spirits, that will be her duty." I said to him calmly. He ruffled a hand through his hair. "I'll like taking her purity. Half breeds running around does not really sound all that appealing. I don't need to eat. All the charred animal flesh in the world won't satisfy me. The only sustenance I need is bloodshed." That was no different from the other Blade Spirits. I could work with that stuff. If anything, I could let him go around and kill more of the red oni on the other end of the river. He took his wife to his house. "Don't mess with the things I put around this home." I heard him say to his new wife. I only wished them well.
Now that enough time had passed, Ace and Deuce were back on the mend. I smiled and went to see them. They were the spirits that I started the whole game with. With all of the support group around them, they were not able to be in a lonely state. They had their champion, their wives, and all of the children helping. Now that they were up and ready, they made their prayers of thanksgiving to Eswirl for their recovery. They slaughtered some animals and promised to kill more enemies in his name. There was always the oni. I pledged some more kills to the Blade Spirit god as well. I decided to make it a large movement. All the offspring were Saints. Bringing all of the champions and their children along as well made it more of a real crusade. My servants would also be coming. Rook and Knight's children were also coming. Due to my firm urging, Uri and Ras got their women pregnant. They all would soon be more Saints when they were properly trained. We had a great time and everyone's kills were attributed to Eswirl. My kill counts did not go up at all. I killed 20 onis.
Personally, I needed to get something for this major offering. Our prayers were finally answered. When we returned to the shrines, covered in blood, Ahu and Qwill were ecstatic. They were his personal guardians, so they got a chance to hear his voice. That was amazing. "I'm so happy for you guys. It's a blessing to be able to hear the voice of your god." I said. Ahu nodded and said "Eswirl the Light Blade said that he would send 7 of his offspring as champions. Each one more powerful than the last." It certainly sounded great. "They will be coming to secure the valley and keep the evil spirits at bay." Qwill added excitedly. "So, when are we going to see them?" I asked the guardians. The demigods would take a couple of days to manifest physical form in our world. The world Eswirl was active in was different from this one. They would have to travel from the Spirit Realm to here. All we could do was wait for it. Shank and Krit drove a coalition to do more oni killing the next day. Darwo also would send us a demigod offspring. When they got here, they all came from the sky.
It seemed that they found a very different portal than all of these invading evil spirits. There were 7 of them. They came to pay homage to the shrine of their father, Eswirl, first. Each of them had a red gem in his chest. I asked all of them about it. Others looked shocked, but it was clear they wanted to know as well. It was a simple answer. It was nothing they were ashamed of either. They were hybrids. Eswirl found and mated with a female earth elemental spirit. She was a red gemstone. There was a mix when the mated. They were like the hybrids with humans. None of them could transform into their weapons. They could call them all forth from the gems in their chests. I was fine with that answer. It turned out that they each had different weapons to wield. The strength steadily increased from youngest to oldest. The youngest had 1/8 of his father's power. The oldest had 7/8. After they paid their homage to Eswirl, they went over to the bound spirits. They used powerful magic to make temples on those spots. Nguk, Joz, Exu, Ebo, Yuhi, Hawnt and Fyre were stuck inside.
