Catching his breath was not a problem for him. He was a Blade Spirit and not a human. The guardian's name was Leen. He had a huge polearm. "Did you need me for a task, Lord David!?" he asked expectantly. I just blinked at him. "Where were you just now?" I asked. He pointed his blade down the road. "A 'former' bandit reached his hand in an offering box. He tried to flee, but I followed him. He gave all of the lin back once I appeared before him. I was just returning when I heard you ask for me." he explained. From the way that he explained it, the thief was still an active bandit. Even being part of a town did not make him immune from the urge to steal. "You gave him the sight to see us?" I asked. That seemed really drastic for a single bandit. He shook his head. "No. I just kept blocking his way with my blade. Eventually, he got the message." he clarified. It made more sense. I introduced the guardian to my clone and told him my intention. He bowed low. "Is there no pressing matters to solve now?" my clone asked. I said "If the townsfolk ask you." He grumbled a bit.

Dealing with him was now going to be Leen's problem. I looked at the clone. "I want you to be kind to the people here and to Leen, alright?" I said. He looked at me and frowned deeper. "I wasn't planning on being a cruel jerk to anyone, Lord David." he said, an edge to his voice appearing near the end. "I am sorry for upsetting you. It's just... the other incarnation was a bit more... chipper about everything going on. If you were feeling down, I'd want to be able to cheer you up." I apologized. I knew they could be different from each other. Pressing him like this was clearly going too far. His eyes widened. "It's nothing to be concerned about. I'm not sad or angry. This is just how I am. I'll keep in mind to be approachable when dealing with Leen or townspeople." he said. I put my hands together and said "That's all I'm asking you. Thank you so much, Ethana means so much to me and Darrien. This is the village that took me in when I chose him as champion. He was born here. In a sense, this shrine is more important than the one in Battleville." That made him blush. "I see."

Evidently, this was the heart to heart chat we needed to have. I asked Leen to exchange the kusarigama in the shrine with the one that the clone was inhabiting. There was a nod and he opened it up. Taking the weapon out, I took it and gave it to Darrien. He gave me a slight bow. The clone said "I hope to see you soon, Lord David." He then took weapon form and slipped inside the shrine. Leen closed it up and looked at us. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" he asked. I shook my head. "You've done so much already. I'll let you get back to work." I said before walking away. Darrien and Slashette followed me. We all were going to Battleville. This clone wanted me to see him. I bet the other one would want to see me every once in a while as well. Thinking about what I would do took me all the time we walked. Darrien and Slashette were content to enjoy the quiet. When I got back to the town, I found Krit, Knat and Deuce. I told them about the bandit camp in the mountains. The 3 raced to take care of it after Slashette gave Knat the offering. She left to return to work.
