Even Anna thought it was a ridiculous claim. Everyone at the table was stunned. Prince Robert recovered quickly. He slammed his fist on the table. "Yes she does! She's the damn queen! The authority of the queen is only second to the king. Come quietly. I won't hold back against the worst serial killer in the history of our country! I don't care if you're a beta female." Kevin stood up. "You must be mistaken, Your Highness. Anna might be crazy, but she isn't a killer." he said. He had not been told about it yet. Prince Robert shook his head. "Stay out of the way, or I will arrest you for aiding and abetting." he said darkly. He was serious. Anna smirked. "I'm not going quietly. I invoke my right as a noble to trial by combat. If I beat you in a 1 on 1 fight, you have to let me go." she said. That was part of the noble code. Alpha supremacy had its perks. Robert bit his lip as he thought about what to do now that he was challenged. His not going easy on beta females was clearly a bluff. There was no way he could back down. "Fine! Let me get my gear. Don't go anywhere!"
Fighting in his superhero outfit meant he really was serious about this. He ran out the mansion. "Reilly, Lord Layton. We need to talk. Now!" she said. They led the blind concubine into a study on the second floor. "What the hell is going on here!?" Reilly demanded. "The queen struck first. Robert is in their faction and is famous for solving crimes and arresting criminals. I'm a big criminal. If I get taken down, his profile will rise all over the country. That will make it really easy to use that influence to support the crown prince, Ion, for the throne." "What are you going to do?" Layton asked. Anna cracked her knuckles. "Alpha supremacy has rules that fall in on themselves. I do not think I'll lose to him. I think it's time I showed the world why I have the title of greatest serial killer. The more public he makes this, the better for me." Anna said with a smile. "You're creeping me out." Reilly said. Anna looked at them seriously. "Just like we spoke about last time, this is all Queen Cassandra's gambit. If she can get me out the way now, she can target our 3 princes without fear."
Getting ready, Anna made sure that her glock was locked and loaded. An hour passed without him returning. That was when 2 news helicopters began hovering their big mansion. Anna turned on the television. Robert and his buddies were cheesing for the cameras as he gave a prefight interview. He got in front of the public and detailed a couple of the more gory murders. "Lady Anna Idut is an evil fiend. Even when faced with the arrest warrant, she scoffed at the authority of the queen and invoked a trial of combat." The journalist gasped in shock. "Really, but she's a beta female! Does she think she can defeat you!?" she asked. Robert struck a heroic pose with 2 of his friends. "I don't know what she's thinking, but Hero Justice Agency will keep people safe. I can't lose." he said. That was the end of the interview. Prince Robert came back to get Anna. "I guess this fight is going to be to the death then?" she joked. He scoffed. "I bet you'd like that, murderer. No, the challenged determines the contest. I want you alive. We are going until first blood." Robert said.
