Jon's mother basically dragged him to the car and they were off to the shop before he knew what to do. All manner of thoughts ran through his head as she drove. How could he fix this, what would the dress look like, could the rock help the situation, should he tell Karen... then he realized what he had just thought, could the wish actually make him think that or was something else at work. Why would he care what the dress looked like?

"Allright Jon, we're here." his mother said. Jon didn't know what to do, but curiousity got the better of him so he followed her in. She took him right to the counter where a young attractive woman was ready to help them.

"Hi, I'm Mrs. Jennings, and I'm here to pick up my son's prom dress." The way she said it, seemed very odd to Jon, and even the womans reacting seemed about what you'd expect someone to react when something like that was spoken. So Jon figured that noone thought it was normal for a boy to be going to the Prom in a dress, yet he was anyway... so he had better do something soon.

"I still don't know why you insisted on this Jon..." his mom started.

"I lost a bet." he spat out reflexively.

"You lost a bet and now you have to wear a dress to your prom?" his mother asked.

"Yeah, you always told me never to back out of a bet... I just thought I could win... I never thought I'd be going this far..." he tried as hard as he could to convince her, until he got home and talked it over with Karen, so they could try and fix this whole thing.

It was then that the young woman brought up his dress.

It was a cute pink strapless number that tied in the back, he would have loved to see it on someone with a body like Karen's, but not his.

"And here are the shoes that go with the gown." the woman said as she handed Jons mother a paid of strappy pink heeled sandles. Jon just smiled as he took the dress and headed for the door. He wasnt sure what he was going to do, but he knew he needed Karens opinion before he did anythign he might regret later.
