"The reason I brought you all here is because prom is just a week away, and it seems that some of you aren't entirely prepared for the biggest social event of our lives. That's why, with this stone, I'll make sure everything goes smoothly."
"What are you talking about, Sarah?" asked Tara.
"Just wait, you'll see. I wish that each of us in this room would have a beautiful dress for prom, each one completely up to date and in style and with a perfect fit. I also wish that no two of us would have the same dress. Finally, I wish for all of us to meet at the mall at exactly 2 PM next Saturday so that we can all get our hair, makeup, and nails done on time for the big dance."
Jon heaved a sigh of relief that he wasn't turning into some big breasted bimbo or other abomination. The girls left the basement, and Jon noticed Sarah had carelessly left the rock on the coffee table. He snatched up the rock and ran to school, where the day progressed relatively uneventfully. He agreed to meet Karyn later that afternoon. For some reason, she seemed to think he'd be busy, but he didn't make any plans. He got home and his mother was waiting for him. He sat on the couch and flipped on the TV.
"Don't get to comfortable, young man," she said.
"What? Why?" he asked.
"We have to go pick up your prom dress, that's why. Don't tell me you've forgotten about it, you've been going on and on about it all week!"
Jon felt a sinking feeling as he began to realize the implications of Sarah's wish.
