As Jon, now Paige, walked home from school that day she couldn't help but feel that Sarah wasn't such a bad person after all. She headed back up to her room and closed the door softly behind her. She lay down on her bed and sighed contentedly, closing her eyes.
She stayed that way for almost a minute before her eyes popped open. She looked around the room. Of course, wishes change reality so that things are as if the wish had always been true. People thought that Karyn had always been a blonde, and now it was as if Paige had always been a girl. When she got up and looked around the room, there were female clothes that she had never seen before, but which somehow she was comfortable with the idea of owning and wearing. The prom dress was hung up inside the closet and would stay that way until the prom.
She couldn't think of herself as anything other than a girl, any more. She was glad to be a girl and in Sarah's circle.
A bit later that day she had had to g outside, but it was raining heavily and she had to return for an umbrella. When Paige went out again, she was able to make out the shape of Karyn coming towards her through the rain. Although she was Sarah's friend now, she was still Karyn's friend as well.
"Hi Karyn!" said Paige and smiled, "Some weather huh? I feel like I should be swimming." She knew that since wishes affect reality, Karyn would remember her as Paige.
But Karyn didn't seem happy to see her. And she said....
