All NPCs had a 50% conception rate. It either happened or it did not. Because females would have to carry for 9 weeks, male avatars needed a debuff. Their fertility was hard capped at 25%. It was low enough to be hard to get children, but high enough that you could if you put in the work to fuck a female enough times. Female avatars had a 50% embryonic implantation rate. Even if a male Player fucked a female Player and fertilized the egg, the egg could simply not implant in the uterus. This was essentially an abortion. This was not the case with female NPCs. If they had an egg fertilized, they got pregnant. Because 50% was a cap for NPCs, none could go above without buffs.
