Things were pretty stable. The devils and demons both came to make deals. Souls poured into the club and made us all stronger. I knew that the angels here were also waiting for us to slip up. I was not going to let them invade our club. There was no way we would lose everything we worked for if I could help it. Dancing for the public and doing the private dances made good money. Kyle and Myles were always near to me. I did not need them stolen from me either. The greater fire elemental told me it was not over. He said that the greater water elemental was still alive. Kyle and Myles agreed with him. With both of them somewhere, I had to be on my toes. After work at the club, we would go to their house. I did not need to sleep as a Player and neither did they. Aimlessly walking around the rooms of the house and chatting took up a lot of time. Most of our time was thankfully used in the club. The deals and the dancing were infinitely more dynamic. Hanging out with them certainly got me closer to a friendship with them. They were both very good guys. Both did a great job as our MCs.
As time went on, Kyle and Myles got better at using swords. You would not be able to tell based on their statures. They did not gain any muscles. Why would they!? Their bodies were not made of flesh and blood. Elemental Air energy congealed into a humanoid form- that was what they were. Letting them gain experience with swords meant that they would be able to defend themselves better than last time. Besides, I needed someone to be good at using blades. This club was filled with wizards. They had claws, but magic would be our main means of offence. Having the air elemental servants as my personal bodyguards would be great. As long as the greater fire elemental and the greater water elemental were still in the Mortal Plane, we could not let our guards down. Either one could strike us at any moment. There were a ton of enemies. I was sure that we could take any enemy. The concern was getting cornered by a unified enemy. The elementals teamed up and it nearly worked. There were still angels and upset demons and devils. Not all of them were satisfied with the deals.
I did not blame any of them for that. Both were much stronger partners than the humans they were accustomed to. Devils were really domineering and made you beg for everything. Demons were depraved and not at all afraid to do a score of painful or nasty acts in order to get off. One would take you by force. The other would coerce you into giving yourself over. The individual incubi could determine which one was worse for themselves. That was why I did not put myself out there. Hollin and Bralvan were both tough customers. I could deal with Hollin. I simply had to stay out of his way. Bralvan was different from him. Bralvan felt disrespected by me refusing him. That was totally on him. I was not sorry, but something needed to be done. From that brief spar we had, I knew that I was simply not strong enough to beat him. I would need more souls. Even beating him would not make things go away. We were not being invaded and taken over because there was a deal in place. Killing a demon in the club would almost certainly break the deal. Like it or not, I just had to deal with the shadow demon.
