By the time he turned back towards the screen, he heard the station announcer say “Coming up next another episode of the classic detective show Stone P.I. The Man with the Scar.”
Jon then realized that it was the continuation of the story that the credits had advised him of, perhaps everything was not lost yet. Perhaps.
“And now on American Classics Network (ACN), It's time for another episode of Stone, P.I." The continuity announcer told anyone who was watching.
Jon and Rebecca sat on the couch ready to watch the episode that was about to start. They had two very different reasons for watching the episode. Jon was to find a way to rescue his mother and somehow send Rebecca back into the television.
Rebecca however was watching mostly to find out why Mr S had not noticed that she was missing. He had always told her that he would not be able to run things without her. He now seemed to be doing fine with the help of this woman Jannie Gibson whoever she was.
Jon had seen his mother's name appear during the closing credits of the previous episode as one of the characters with the name of the actor who was playing the character beside it. He hadn’t seen a full episode of the show for a long time and couldn’t remember what happened during the opening credits.
He soon found out when he saw a picture of Boris Sagal the actor that was playing Stone appear on the screen with his name beside it.
The photograph was a black and white, close-up portrait of Boris. Middle-aged, with neatly combed dark hair that is styled back from his forehead. His facial features are sharp and well-defined, with a strong jawline, a straight nose, and somewhat downturned eyes that convey a serious, perhaps even slightly melancholic, expression.
He was dressed in a light-coloured, possibly beige or light gray, well-tailored suit along with a white collared shirt visible beneath the jacket, and he was wearing a dark-colored tie, which appears to be a solid colour, possibly black or dark gray with it being a black and white picture it was difficult for Jon to tell.
Next came Walter E. Grauman the actor who had been playing Detective Jones in the last episode of the show. He was obviously a regular and not as Jon had thought a guest star.
Jon saw a man depicted wearing a suit and tie, showcasing a formal appearance, probably to highlight the fact that he was a police officer Jon thought. The picture was a close-up portrait in black and white, highlighting his facial features such as his eyebrows, forehead, and jawline.
Jon knew that there was only one more name to come up. That being Linda Hart the actor who was playing the character that his mother had taken the place of. The one that the woman sitting next to him was meant to be.
The photograph was a classic black and white portrait, There was his mother as a fair-skinned woman with shoulder-length blonde hair styled in a sophisticated, wavy updo popular in the era. Her makeup is subtly applied, enhancing her features without being overly dramatic. Her expression is serious and thoughtful, almost pensive, with her gaze directed slightly away from the camera, creating an air of intimacy. She is wearing a dark-colored, possibly grey or dark-brown, jacket with a unique, scalloped collar. The fabric appears to be a textured material, possibly wool or a similar textile. She has a ring on her left ring finger, simple but elegant in design, implying a sense of understated wealth. Her earrings are small and understated, consistent with the overall restrained elegance of her appearance. The woman's hand is gracefully positioned, resting gently on her chin. This pose adds to the overall sense of composure and thoughtfulness.
“Wow, she is pretty,” Rebecca added before she realized that this was the woman who had taken her job from her not to mention her Mr S.
Jon was beginning to realize that it wasn’t going to be easy to rescue his mother. It would take some planning, but did he have the time to work out something? He quickly checked the listings and saw that ACN.. was showing a marathon of Stone P.I. He just hoped that he would be able to get his mother back before the end of it.
