Getting to know a little bit about them, Amando was already a mob doctor. He had been given 4 stars for his work by the Blue Codex. Now he had 5. Having lost an eye fighting in the old country, he came here to make a living for himself. Just like the boys, being placed in the Cardiology unit was a bit beyond him. That did not mean he did not get to work learning about it. I admired that. There was only so much one could learn in a week, but he had a legitimate cardiology nurse there to help him. There was no way the clinic would not spawn in nurses of our ethnicity. All 3 were pretty young women. The other 2 doctors with him on the top floor were simply new additions to the Blue Codex roster. It was not like we could take the students straight out of medical school to work here. Someone could blow the whistle if they were not properly acclimated to this way of life. We knew that snitches get stitches, but one could really screw us over. Mob doctors were a must. They did really good work and knew not to ask questions. They could not believe their luck that there was a place for them to work.

In a last ditch effort to try us, some Blue Owl thugs attacked Fluttering Wing. It was a placeholder, so I normally would not care. It had 2 guards armed with hand guns. It was close, but they were able to hold them off. Arminio was pissed. So much so, he decided to take one of their rackets. I gave him my goon squad to back him up. He said that he wanted to do it personally. I did not mind. Alfio Meranda was the lieutenant of Square district. I had seen him before. I had given him the tour of La Familia. It did not have to be this way. The first racket that they put up in the Square district was a drug lab. I advised Arminio to take it over. With the goon squad in tow, they had an easy time. They did not have the finds like I did. There security was only 3 stars. The outside guards were melted like butter from the firepower sent their way. Their 2 inside guards did not do much better. We had it and we were not giving it back. There were a couple more rackets that they had in the district. This was just a warning to not fuck with us. Hopefully, they heeded the warning. We would just do it over again if not.

Nothing that they could do would hurt us. All of our main properties had extremely high levels of security. I also had a really competent goon squad roaming around to do my bidding. Arminio told me how smooth everything was during the operation. Asella and Tommy were also there. There was no way that they would not go over to assist them. His twin sister was the only one that he could trust implicitly. Tommy was someone that he was indebted to for his willingness to cover for his major fuck up. There was no way he could be the lieutenant of anywhere if not for someone taking the fall. Even now, heads would roll if they found out who Rosario's real father was. Sitting in the headquarters I made for this district, I had to admit they added some nice decorations to the place. Portraits of the Catano Family were now on the walls. "You are doing an amazing job." I complimented him. He smiled at me and said "I've been trained for this since birth. We had to respond to the disrespect. I'm not going to let any shitty goons mess with the Diamond Butterflies." The drug lab was making us okay money.
