“That cannot be. I am a soft body”. Carly said as she looked down at the floor which held the reflection of her foot which clearly showed a block of text and next to that was a ©. She then looked over at Dalia’s foot which showed no markings of any kind.
"When these challenges are over, I wish to hear more about being a soft body," Victoria said.
"You think I will not win the challenges?" Carly asked her. "That I will be staying with the Sisterhood?"
"I did not say that, Sister. Dalia may have the right to do as she has done, but once you said you did not wish this.." Victoria paused. "I am ashamed to think this...but perhaps the Sisterhood will be better if she is not with us as it will disrupt harmony."
Carly could not argue the point. Dalia had brought conflict to the Sisterhood who had so far been nothing but welcoming, if cautious, to a newcomer.
"When this is over, regardless of what occurs, I hope you will tell us many stories of your experiences," Victoria said.
"Experiences?"
"Outside in the orange light," Victoria clarified.
"First....I need to determine a challenge for Dalia." Carly said. "There is something about these challenges..." She paused. "So far, they are all designed to prove who is superior as a Sister..can a challenge prove who is better suited to be a soft body?"
Victoria thought about it. "Dalia has successfully claimed your place as a soft body. You are the challenger to her claim on that right. I do not think there is a reason you cannot pick a challenge that shows she is unfit for your place, as she argued before that you were unsuccessful as a soft body. But it would have to be discussed. Do you have something in mind?"
Carly thought about it. "Not yet...but...I just can't imagine challenging her until the orange light returns."
"Why not? If you try to leave, you would be considered as having lost. If you stay and do not challenge her further, you are ceding the challenges. If you wish to win, that is the only option."
"You are a good sister to me, Victoria," Carly said.
That clearly pleased Victoria. "I feel like, despite you having just arrived, that we have been so for much longer."
Carly found that very nice of her to say. Victoria had been the first to communicate with her, while the other held back
