Karyn really wanted to convince Jon to go with her costume idea. For her part, dressing up as a teen mom, would be easy. She could wear her own clothes but maybe a bit more revealing than normal. Then she'd just push Jon around in the big pushchair her parents bought. She could just fuss over Jon a little and act like a loving mother but still be juvenile.
She thought it was a massive stroke of luck when she mentioned the History eassy they had to hand in today and Jon looked at her blankly. He completely forgot about it and when they entered the room their history teacher made it very clear than anyone who didn't hand in their essay would have to stay for detention to get it done then.
"Jon, you idiot," Karyn joked with him, "By the time detention is over the mall will be closed. I guess we're going with my costume idea so. I'll go home after school and get it all ready. You come to my house after school and I'll help you with the costume. We need to go to the party together anyway since our costumes are linked. "
Jon just rubbed his head, frustrated at himself and reluctantly agreed. He sat through that class and two others before having to go and sit in detention, scuppering any chance he has of finding another costume.
