Jon and Karyn sat with their usual group of friends at lunch and found they were all in the same boat. None of them had given much thought to costume ideas until now so they were brainstorming ideas.

"I found some of my old clothes in the attic the other day, from when I was like 4. Some of it might still fit me. It'll be ridiculously tight but that's kinda the joke," said Trevor, a good friend of Jon's.

"Jon, this might be a bit outside your comfort zone but my parents have a costume that they bought for last Halloween that would definitely fit us. But we'd have to both commit or it won't make any sense." Karyn told Jon with hope in her voice that he'd be open to it.

"Go on, Karyn, tell me, what is the costume? "Jon replied without making any commitment to wearing it.

"Well, it's kinda funny but my Dad lost a bet so he had to go as a baby girl. They bought a large stroller and everything. The stuff would definitely fit you and with the wig and big pacifier you would be kinda hidden so people might jot recognise you." Karyn said, realising as she said it that it was a total long shot.

Jon just laughed at the idea but then asked what Karyn's mom's costume was.

"My mom went as a teenage mom, like on that MTV show. It was actually a really funny costume. And we're kinda running out of time." Karyn pushed the matter.

"Tell you what Karyn. I'm gonna go to the mall after school to find something better. If I can't find anything then I promise I'll go with your idea." John replied. He was certain he'd find something in the mall so wouldn't be reduced to dressing like a baby girl.

"What about you Pete? "Jon asked, hoping to get the attention away from himself.

" Well, do you remember the school play last year when we did Cats. I still have my costume from that, so I'll be going as a man sized cat. Nice and simple, no thought required." Trevor proudly told the group.
