"Hey Karl! I know this is stupid but look at this really quick."
Karl leaned over and examined the book with a smile. "Uh... I'm a boy?"
Steven slammed the book shut and started walking down the hallway in a hurry. "Thanks babe!"
Steven turned the corner and ducked into the girl's restroom. He found an open stall then reopened the book. "Okay, that was close but I think I cleared out that anomalous entry." \
After a few moment's of thought, Steven jotted down something he thought his best friend Mary might enjoy, then rushed to her locker. Mary was a cute girl with red hair and thick rimmed glasses. She loved fashion but couldn't afford nice clothes due to her family's financial woes.
"Check this out" Steven said with a smile as he handed the book to Mary. She hesitated but reluctantly grabbed the book from Steven's hand. "I'm a boy with an expensive and fashionable new wardrobe?"
Panic shot through Mary's eyes as her body began to violently shift. Over the course for a minute her body reshaped into a male version of herself, fit with a tailored suit and a leather backpack. "What the fuck!?"
Steven realized that he misunderstood the rules for the book. Since Karl was already a boy, the first part of the sentence couldn't work for him because he was already a boy. Mary was the first person the noun could change, so she was now stuck in her male body.
