Zoe smiled. "Well, that is good news. Good work," she said, approvingly.
"But...what about...us?" Linda said, suddenly.
Zoe thought about that, and clutched her temple for a moment. It felt like she had work to do, and Linda was stopping it, but at the same time, she knew what point she was trying to make.
For the moment, having work to do won out. Zoe's mind was swirling with tasks she needed to do.
Linda, at the same time, seemed particularly lost. She felt like she needed someone to tell her what to do, because she had no idea.
One of the porters rolled in a cart with what Linda recognized as their luggage. "Linda," the receptionist said. "Can you take that up to the penthouse?"
Linda jumped to get the cart. She needed to find a way to get out of...whatever this was...and at the same time, she felt eager to complete the task.
She grabbed the cart without a second look at Zoe headed into the back and headed up to the penthouse. She unlocked the door with the key and pulled the cart inside and took the bags off of it. She was surprised to hear noises coming from the closet.
She threw open the door and was surprised to see Sierra there, getting dressed.
