They arrived back at the room at around 12:30 and Linda made a beeline for the mini-fridge. She pulled out a four pack of beer cans and tugged one free.
“Heads up bro!” She shouted as she tossed it across the room to Zoe who caught it easily. She pulled the tab to open it and raised it in the air as Linda opened one for herself.
“Cheers dude!” Zoe said, raising the can in the air before bringing it to her lips and taking a large gulp.
“Now let’s check out this tub!” Linda said as she reached the sliding doors that lead out onto the balcony. She kicked her flip-flops off and headed outside into the sunshine. Placing one hand on the side of the hot-tub, she swung herself over the edge and landed in the water, sending a wave of it splashing onto the balcony.
“Oh shit bro!” She called, “you have got to come try this!” She added with a laugh. Zoe hurried outside, kicked off her shoes and sock and slid into the warm water. She moved so she was sat in the opposite corner to Linda and took another swig of her beer.
“Fuck bro” Linda sighed contentedly, “this is the fucking life huh?” Zoe, who was still mid-swig, went to answer and swallowed a large gulp of air. Instantly she felt it bubble back up, and a rather impressive belch erupted erupted from her mouth.
“Good air bro!” Linda laughed, “hold on, I bet I can beat that!” She added taking a few swigs of her own beer. After a moment she she grinned and let forth an equally loud burp of her own. Zoe took a moment of clarity to appreciate what was going on here. Her usually reserved and proper mother was currently sitting in a hot-tub topless, her tits bobbing around on the surface of the water. She was talking like a frat-boy, drinking beer, and belching like a trooper. And yet she looked so carefree.
She had to admit it was fun seeing her like this, and even more so just living the role of someone else. It was oddly freeing.
“Oh you are so on!” Zoe grinned, bringing herself back to the moment. She took an even bigger swig of her beer, purposely swallowing as much air as she could. She paused, waiting for it to bubble back up, but unfortunately for her, the opposite happened. Her stomach groaned, and before she could stop herself, the water around her bubbled violently for a second. They both fell silent for a beat, then Linda burst out laughing.
“Ok bro!” She chuckled, “I’m fucking calling it there before you shit yourself!” She added wiping a tear from her eye.
“Ah whatever!” Zoe grumbled as Linda drained the rest of her can and grabbed a second from where she’d left them on the side of the tub.
“Don’t be a sore loser bro!” She grinned, “you’ll beat me at something someday”
“Oh yeah?” Zoe replied, grabbing a second beer herself, “and just how are you beating me exactly?” She asked.
“C’mon bro” Linda grinned, “I’ve had waaaay more sex than you for a start, and then these puppies…” she added, grabbing a handful of one of her breasts with her free hand,
“Are much more impressive than those!” She finished, nodding at Zoe’s bare chest with a friendly smirk.
“Fuck you dude!” Zoe laughed, “it’s not the size, it’s how you use them!” She chuckled.
They spent the next hour shooting the breeze and finishing off two more cans of beer, and it was Linda who finally groaned and stood up.
“Well bro” she grinned, “I better go find some threads and go speak to the concierge!” She grinned, “don’t wait up!” She added as she clambered out of the tub and headed back into the room.
