The next day, the Stone was gone. It just vanished in the night, and Jon forgot it ever existed. Karyn did too.
That was it. That was the (un)interesting that happened. No more Stone, no more magic. Ta-da!!!!!
(No applause. Some one in the audience coughs a little.)
Jon woke up to a perfectly average and normal morning. He showered off, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, got dressed, scarfed down some cold cereal and milk, and grabbed his school bag, in that order. Then it was off to another typical day at the typical high school of his typical little town.
He didn't know why, but Jon was feeling down that morning. He thought he'd wasted away his Spring Break as some loser couch potato, and any opportunity for anything interesting to happen had just slipped through his fingers. Now all that was ahead of him was just another day in Lake point.
Good old Lake Point, Jon pondered glumly. What a quaint and terribly boring place to live. Nothing interesting ever happens here! What sort of fun is even possible in a place like this?
