Jess couldn’t hold it any longer, the anger, the sadness, the unfairness of it all. She lunged at Jennifer like an animal. She hit her face, scratched her, slapped her, while Karyn screamed and the other patrons looked with worried faces.
Suddenly, Jess found herself back in her seat. Looking around, she could see Karyn walking from the bathroom.
“I hope that felt good, and you were able to let some steam out. I gave myself this handy ability to rewind time a few minutes to… ah, correct certain outcomes. It’s really useful, got inspired by a tv show.”
Karyn came back from the bathroom and said the same thing as before, while Jess could feel her anger replaced by defeat. How could she ever get back at Jennifer, how could she ever return to normal. Even more so, she started feeling anxious. If what Jennifer was saying was true, she as Jessica was destined to live events, relationships, and more that the original Jessica was meant to live. The thought sent a shiver down her spine. She decided she needed to leave, be by herself for a while, but as she was standing up, Gino came with the food.
It looked and smelled so nice, Jess so hungry, she decided to stay and eat.
