Val followed the young man down the corridor, her mind racing with anticipation. G-Bear, was the manager of Korean girl group Peace Blossom, was notoriously difficult to pin down, well that was what she had read in the articles she had found about him that the former occupant of this life had found during her research, She had to and try and think about this as her life now. It wouldn’t be much longer until Gi Mok was just a figment of the imagination, very soon the only member of the Mok family that the world would ever have known would be Hyun-Hee Mok and no-one else.

As she entered the room, G-Bear stood up, a broad smile on his face. "Ms. Glover, please have a seat," he said, gesturing to the chair opposite him. His English, though accented, was clear and precise.

"Thank you, G-Bear," Val replied, taking her seat and placing her digital recorder on the table.

She was worried that G-Bear would see who she really was. She had gotten away with it the last time they had met but maybe she had just been lucky.

"I have been talking with the record label," G-Bear began, his tone serious yet warm. "After much discussion, they have agreed to let you follow Peace Blossom to the USA for the girls' first overseas concert. You will have the opportunity to interview the group both before and after the event."

Val's heart skipped a beat. This was the break that her newfound career would need but it seemed once again that G-Bear still saw her as nothing more than a western journalist. "Thank you so much, G-Bear. This means a lot to me," she said, trying to keep her excitement in check. This would give her more time to help Hyun-Hee settle into her new life as well as iron out any last-minute problems that may arise. She remembered Grandmother Mok telling her that if she was ever to try and do what she was currently engaged in as things got closer to completion the more likely it was that something that could cause her problems could arise.

G-Bear nodded. "We believe that your coverage will bring a fresh perspective to our fans in the West. Peace Blossom is looking forward to continuing to work with you."

The meeting continued smoothly, with G-Bear outlining the logistics and expectations for the upcoming tour. Val took diligent notes, knowing that this was just the beginning of the last stages of the incredible journey she had been on for the last few days.

As the meeting concluded, Val felt a renewed sense of satisfaction that everything that she had hoped for was coming true. She could hardly wait to share the news with editor. This assignment would not only deepen her understanding of the music industry well that was how she would sell it to her editor anyway.

“Do you mind if I break the news to the girls myself G-Bear?” Val asked him nervously. Even though she was no longer part of the group she still felt like she needed his permission.

“Oh, a Surprise. I see, You can do so if you wish but let them finish their rehearsal first.” He replied.

“Oh of course,” Val said. With a final handshake, Val left the room, her mind already racing with ideas of how she could use the extra time she had been granted to her advantage.
