If it was not for the fact that he was already in a good mood, Henri would probably begin to growl at them. As they were sitting down against the wall, the redhead instead held out his arm protectively over Calvin. Looking them up and down, he asked "What do you 2 want!?" Calvin placed his hands on Henri's arm. "Woah, it's okay, Henri. I know they aren't here to hurt anybody." he said as he pushed the arm down. Henri simply pouted at the chiding he got. Remi scoffed "We're not the dangerous ones here!" he said. Henri narrowed his eyes at him. Noel said "Well, since you guys are our partners, we decided to come tell you this." Calvin and Henri shared a look. "We want to be partners after the recruitment phase, so we need to keep up with each other each week we're apart. We're still a good team after all. That means when I Top a partner, Remi will Bottom. And vice versa." he explained. "It's been decided that I would Bottom for you this week. I'll Top next week." Remi said unhappily. He must have lost out to Noel on that front. That, or partnering at all with Henri was still getting to him.

A bright smile lit up Calvin's face. "I guess that means you're going to Top, Noel. Okay then. I can work with that." he said happily. Noel smiled back at him. "Yeah. Get ready for tomorrow. It is going to be a very good day." They then walked away. "I can't even believe they would pull that dumb shit." Henri said when they were finally out of earshot. Calvin just rolled his eyes and sighed in exasperation. All the members of the squad were getting tired of the antics. "Henri. Calm down. It's fine. They are our partners. We have to talk about that stuff. Besides, don't you want to do well. Everyone besides them are at 0. They have a giant lead on everyone." he said. That was true. It did not sit right with the redhead to be at the back of the pack. Especially when Guy and Adam were also at 0. He wanted to teach them both a big lesson. They would regret looking down on him. When everything was said and done, he would be a Shine pilot. This was just a bit of a rough patch on his road to success. Looking at concerned Calvin, he sighed. "I guess you're right. What happened next with that guy?"

Jumping back into the story was easy for Calvin. He only needed 10 more minutes to resolve it. It was not as hilarious as Calvin had claimed, but it was entertaining. "It's a great story. You should write that down." Henri said. He got a scoff and an incredulous look in return. "C'mon man. I can't do that. No one pays total randoms for stories anymore." he said. Henri jostled him. "Don't say that. We're not going to be randoms for long. We're going to be pilots for the UN. That's hero status. And guess what?" he said, goading a response. Calvin decided to bite. "What?" he asked. Henri stood up and smiled brightly. "People listen to heroes. Heroes are great people." he said. It stunned Calvin for a minute. "Are you serious? You want to be a hero?" he asked before breaking out in a laugh. "What's wrong with that!?" Henri said while crossing his arms and pouting. Calvin had to take a moment to compose himself. "Nothing's wrong with it. I guess that I didn't think you'd feel that way. Usually only kids say that kind of stuff." he said, still smiling. Henri blushed red. "If it's childish, it's not cool?" he asked.

Kids would be an accurate word to describe the younger members of the squad. 14 was the youngest age for the boys accepted into their piloting program. Calvin stood up and stretched out before patting his friend on the right shoulder. "The world really needs some heroes. It's fucking under attack. I just hope we actually get to do something cool. I'd suck to do all of this and get one shot by some alien out there." he said with a deep sigh. Henri was shocked. He looked Calvin in the eye. "I won't let that happen. Leave it to me!" he said. Before Calvin could respond, the call for lights out was made. Their conversation had to end. "We'll talk tomorrow." Calvin said. The redhead nodded before going to his cot. They would be going to the simulator room again in the morning. Henri wondered what the Xanadu program's generated world would look like when he paired up with Remi. He was not looking forward to it like Calvin was. 'At least Remi knew what he was doing.' he thought to himself. It was more than what he could say about his previous partner. Henri wondered how he would do.
