People were easily intimidated by him. Henri had known this fact ever since he was a young child. If they could not handle themselves, that was not his fault. Not that he did not try to get his way when Henri felt he could. There were plenty of nice things he managed to coax out of people. If his mother or grandfather ever caught him in the act, they would make him return it and apologize. All he had to do to get his way was put his hand on the slacker's shoulders. He leaned forward so he was eye to eye with him. "I really think it would be good if I was the Top next week." was what he said gently, but with no room for argument. Adam gulped. "I guess it wouldn't hurt if we did it once." Henri nodded and pat his shoulders. "Thanks for understanding. Guy is also going to Top, so it makes sense." he said. Adam nodded before walking away a bit too quickly. Henri still had to micromanage his partner. He had even less energy and motivation now he was going to Bottom. When they got into the simulation, it felt like he was not trying at all. Henri's White Pulse was 29. Adam's Black Pulse was 34.
It was not going to work out for them. Henri grabbed Adam by the hips and tried to connect the pulses. "H-hey! Get off me. I do not need you humping me like a dog!" he protested. Henri did not like it when it happened to him either. "You can take it. I did last week. Just wait until the session is over." he said. Adam lowered his head and grumbled to himself. When it was done, things seemed to be the same as it was last week. The twins got their second success for the piloting program. Everyone else in the squad was still seeking out their first. Adam walked away from him without saying anything. Henri was not happy with him either. He still thinking that things were fine, however. He had 8 weeks to get 5 successes. In Henri's mind, that was easy enough to do. He had never failed at something he wanted to pursue before. The only thing that had stopped him from goals was people above him making rules that stopped him from doing them. That was not the case here. He was in the program. There was no choice but to make it work with his available partners. Henri was determined.
