Unpopular and disliked by the others in the squad, they knew what side of their bread was buttered. Standing around Henri gave them a foil to pass themselves as more palatable. Adam was not even paying attention when everyone was making their big moves. When he realized the only one left was Henri, he sucked his teeth. Henri did not think that Adam was an amazing choice either, but he did not want to cause a massive scene there. Adam was not as strong, fast or tall as him. It was hard to find something impressive about him. Since they were going to be partners, they had to work together. Henri was going to have to suck it up. Adam glared at him and said "I am going to be the Top here. You just need to lay down and take me inside." Henri just nodded his head. Both roles were important in order to pilot a Shine. He really did not care about which roles he would take. The first week of the training was for demonstrating the mental training. That was the free week for everyone to get on the same page and know a bit about each other. This would be important for compatibility.
Later on, they would be grateful that it was so in depth with detail. After 2 weeks together, it was time for the squad to show what they could do. It would be the first of 10 weekly assessments. Their qualification as pilots relied on them getting only 5 successes in the 10 sessions that were scheduled. Understandably, everyone wanted to make a good first impression. Doing it right the first time would give them a high morale and let them carry that high energy throughout the other weeks. Henri and Adam went in together. It was an exciting time for both of them. Henri had to be on top of his partner to make sure they got there on time. He was taking a much longer shower than needed. He stepped in the stall to confront him after his shower. Even though Henri was 2 years younger, he had 4 inches of height on him. He also had an inch longer dick. Adam's was slightly more girthy. There were 2 piloting platforms there. Adam and Henri took their helmets and put them on. They both sat back to back in the middle as they were instructed before they bent forward. Now, they were butt to butt.
Synchronizing was not a simple task. They were to project an image in their augmented reality. It was time to connect. For recruits, they were told to imagine a king-sized bed or some other comfortable place. Once it appeared, both the pilots were to get on it. Since both the recruits were equal and starting to get the hand of their roles, they were to discuss what roles they should take amongst themselves. It was up to them, but they would be judged for the result whether they failed or succeeded. The cockpit was set to shut down if a connection was not reached in 5 minutes. For combat readiness, it was crucial to synchronize within 3 minutes. Over 5 was intolerable and would result in them not being able to go. A new pair would simply replace them for the duration of their big mission. The visors then flipped on. The clock was now ticking down for them. This should work out if they tried hard enough. "I'll be the Bottom like you said, so you should work on the White Pulse." Henry said with a sigh as he looked around the plain room with the bed before them. Adam did not look to sure.
