Jon found himself suddenly stuck by the strangest feeling he had ever felt, it was like he was moving through time and space like he was riding a wave, but had not moved at all, in fact, he looked around and found that he was the only person standing up while everyone else was on the ground.
Also on the ground were a bunch of items that seemed to be important to a lot of people strown about everywhere. Jon did not have the time to help anyone on the ground though because he noticed who he did not see amongst them, Karyn.
Karyn had been with him when the wave had hit, and he heard that odd high-pitched whine passed through his ears, but now she was gone. He decided to go look for her and people started to make noises on the ground, he saw so many people he recognized, Derek, Trevor, Jay, Thea, and more people he knew just by name, but none were Karyn, or even his sister Zoe.
Suddenly, the PA turned on. "Attention everyone...I... don't know what just happened...but...if anyone is seriously injured, please report to the nurse's office. For everyone who just fell over...that happened to everyone...please report to your first period class while we all try to figure this out."
Jon looked up, the voice sounded familiar to him, then he realized whose voice it was, Athena, his sister's best friend. Why was she giving an announcement over the PA system?
"Who was that?" Jon heard The Moose ask.
"The principal...I think..." someone answered to Moose, it was, well it was one of the Taylor sisters, Jon didn't know the difference between Jennifer and Sarah, but they had claimed Athena was the principal, that was wrong.
Jon quickly went off to be by himself and pulled out the rock, "I wish to know what just happened."
Jon waited and the rock gave its answer to him through Jon just sort of knowing its answer.
"What do you mean it is more interesting if I do not know what happened?" Jon shouted at the rock, annoyed by its answer.
"Fine", Jon breathed in and out for a moment, "I wish to know where Karyn is."
The rock sort of pointed Jon to where Karyn was, which was on the other side of the school. He sighed and started to move towards Karyn, hopeful that she was okay.
