"Goddammit, Zoe, what is with those dresses?" Jon said as he pushed between the two girls, "I just wish you knew what it was like to have a little sister who was completely obsessed with all things gothic."
Neither Zoe nor Athena knew why the stone in Jon's hand flashed, but they noticed the blood draining from Jon's face as it did.
Jon suddenly felt a wind pick up...inside the hallway. He could feel the rush of air on his face.
"What the fuck?" Zoe exclaimed before the force of the wind forced all of them to close their eyes, unable to see.
Jon experienced what felt like his entire body falling asleep. Some would call it pins and needles...but only for a second before it what felt like a fast accelerationi in a car, a sudden stop, and then everything faded, taking the wind with it. His eyes popped open. He felt a little dizzy, as if he'd just gotten off a roller coaster.
Zoe was standing there, looking dazed, confused and...normal. Well, as in she looked like an average non-Goth teen. He hadn't seen this version of his sister in ages....she looked so...mature and normal.
Athena looked equally dazed, standing next to her. Her clothes hadn't changed, but...something about her was different.
"What happened to you?" Zoe asked him.
"Me? What happened to you?" Jon asked.
Zoe grabbed him and pulled him toward the hall mirror. They both saw themselves. Jon's hair was black and he was much closer to Zoe's height than he remembered. "Do you have any idea what just happened?" She demanded of him. Jon felt suddenly intimidated.
Before he could answer, they heard the sound of the front door. "Zoe? Athena? Are you home?" Linda Madison's voice echoed.
