Linda walked towards her third-period class. Her class she hadn’t been at high school as a student for years but when she had tried to go to the Gibson (Her) house that morning to talk to Sarah to try and reclaim her life, something stopped her. Somehow, she knew that she had a big test coming up that day and her mom (Susan) had told her that she would get her that dress she had wanted she knew she had to go.
No wait that was not her that was Sarah. Just how much of Sarah’s life had been exchanged the day before. Everyone now thought that Linda was a high school student, and that Sarah was the adult mother of three. She needed to do something to fix this before things got worse. She had tried speaking to Jocelynne her daughter, but that wasn’t right before this had begun Jocelynne was Jon her son. Once she was back in her rightful place, she would be able to resolve the issue over her child’s gender.
Son or daughter it didn’t matter. They were still her child, and she would love them no matter if they chose to be Job or Jocelynne. She thought back to last night when Jocelynne had sided with Sarah against her. Why had she done that? What sort of hold did Sarah have over them? If only she had her magic, she would be able to fix everything she thought or would using it make things even worse. By trying to help Sarah, she had got herself into the situation that she was now in, sometimes she thought she was too kind for her own good.
She was just passing the girls' bathroom when she felt a cold shiver go down her back. She ran inside to find that it was empty. She looked in the mirror to see a teenager looking back at her. Linda had seen a teenage version of herself in her bedroom mirror that morning, but this was not that person looking back at her. The person she saw was wearing ripped jeans and a black off-the-shoulder sequin top with puff sleeves. When she had chosen from Sarah’s closet that morning, she had deliberately gone for something that would not get her notice. That being a classic white T and Jeans combination. She had worn something similar when she had attended high school back in the day.
That was her favorite outfit to wear to school, she remembered how much of a tomboy she had been back then. That was one of the reasons she got on so well with Karyn. She reminded her of herself. This must be Mom (Susan) she thought but she had said that she would not get involved in Linda’s “Little Problem”. So, if not her who she wondered?
